If you are ready to retire your Yoga pants for an evening, join the Studio Oxygen Community this Saturday December 10th from 4-7:00pm at Studio Oxygen Poland to celebrate OM for the Holidays. This festive Holiday cocktail party is a wonderful night of celebration and cheer. Cost of the tickets is a $25.00 donation that will benefit not only local families but also Stop Solider Suicide.
This will be our second year celebrating Om for the holidays. This event was born from Marianne Hritz’s vision to give back to her community. Last year the event was able to help two local families in need during the holiday season. Marianne and a fellow Yogi in the community came up with Om for the holidays as a way to give back. One of the foundations of Studio Oxygen’s visions is that of community outreach.
In Sanskrit, ‘Yoga’ means to ‘yoke’ or ‘unite.’ This event is all about uniting the amazing community of Studio Oxygen as well as reaching outside of the community to support those in need. Last year during the holiday season Marianne was teaching her Thanksgiving Day Yoga class and noticed that one of the out of town Yogi’s had a mat that had ‘Stop Solider Suicide’ printed on it, so after class she asked him what that mission was about. He shared that everyday there are at least 20+ veterans and at least one active duty solider who commit suicide and that this not-for-profit program was founded in the hopes of stoping that epidemic.
Stop Solider Suicide is the first national civilian not-for-profit organization dedicated to preventing active duty and Veteran suicide. This is part of the vision of Stop Solider Suicide: “We are Veterans helping past and present Service members in their greatest hour of need. While we are not a crisis center and we do not provide direct clinical services or funding, we DO fill a gap in offering resources to our brothers and sisters in arms.“
Tickets are still available for this event. We look forward to celebrating this season with you and yours! Call us today at 330-702-9642 to reserve your tickets! Namaste friends! May you always return OM for the holidays!
